Unexpected pleasure to hear TV commentators McGee and Cronkite during the prelaunch clips.

The Gemini System was Gus Grissoms baby. A lot of this system was developed by Gus and ended up being very,very efficient. He was an excellent mechanical engineer and it showed. He was my favorite astronaut and a hero of mine. RIP Gus We miss you!

There were some changes made to the capsule after this flight involving windows and a few changes on the control panel.

Seems like I remember reading in "The Right Stuff" that there were astronauts in attendance . They couldn't have been reassured in the engineers' prowess .

I ran across the street from work to a Target Store and went to the electronics section and watched this launch on one of the televisions there. I couldn't miss this. BTW, it wasn't even lunch break, I could have gotten into so much trouble. 😊

I always wondered how powerful it would have been had the core stage been configured to fire at T-0 and have a beefed-up second staged (or stretched).

I think it's pretty interesting that this is the only footage taken of the LRV from a 3rd person not in the vehicle. If you suspend your disbelief and pay close attention you'll notice how the driver's left arm is unnaturally rigid while the hand is not holding anything. Also, try playing the video at 2x speed and notice how much this looks like a large scale R/C car.

In the CG part before the film starts you should include the flag getting blown down since Buzz Aldrin says that did happen.

There's an official Apollo documentary about Apollo 16. It's not a conspiracy video its "genuine". At around 28mins and 15 seconds into the documentary they show "actual " footage of Earth as seen from the surface of the moon. Obviously the quality is terrible. None of the modified, heat resistant, light gathering , top quality cameras were used for Apollo 16 , that were used on Apollo 10. Anyway the Apollo 16 footage shows a blurry Earth looking tiny! Looking no larger than a full moon on a clear night as seen from Earth. Isn't the Earth 6 times larger than the moon? At least the Apollo 10 footage depicts the Earth's size in a way thats believable. Apollo 16 shows a spec thats moon sized and yellow in colour. Make your mind up! No footage of Earth 125,000 miles away (half way to moon). No footage of Earth from Lunar rovers. Mars rovers. James Webb telescope. Maybe James Webb and Mars rover did take photos but only when so far away that the indistinguishable spec could be anything the CGI team wanted it to be. What happened to the orbiting Tesla? Loads of low earth orbit CGI video. That went quiet when the car moved away from earth. There must be a point where that Tesla was say 150,000 miles away from earth. Where's that footage? China and India land moon rovers. Surely those rovers were orbiting the moon before landing. Wheres there 4k photo/videos of the Apollo landings? Theres always an excuse but zero evidence.

The cool thing with film is how it handles super-bright spots like that explosion there. A digital camera would be swamped by that, but film can capture the details in the explosion along with the *much* less-bright area around it.

The lighting in this Apollo 14 "lunar mission" scenery appears more authentic, possibly due to miniaturization. But hot spots are still evident in the scenes where the "astronauts" are "working."

People keep saying the moon landing was fake ,, i believe we walked on the moon as the desire to achieve was greater than the aspect of safety for our Astronauts
